Privacy Policy

Last updated October 14, 2026

The short version

CardCap doesn't collect any of your information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Your shows, cards, photos, and wishlist stay on your iPhone and, if you choose, in your own private iCloud. I can't see any of it.

What CardCap stores

CardCap stores the information you enter: your shows and caps, the cards you buy and sell (names, prices, conditions, vendors), card photos you take or choose, your wishlist, and your settings. This information is stored on your iPhone.

iCloud sync

If Sync with iCloud is on (it's on by default), CardCap keeps a copy of your data in your private iCloud account using Apple's iCloud service, so it can come back on a new iPhone or after reinstalling. This data is stored by Apple under your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. I, the developer, have no access to it. You can turn sync off at any time in CardCap's Settings.

Camera and photo library

CardCap asks for camera access only so you can photograph a card, and uses the photo library only when you choose a card photo yourself. Only the photo you pick is used, cropped to the card's shape and saved inside CardCap (and in your iCloud, if sync is on). CardCap never uploads your photos anywhere else.

Backup files

When you tap Export a backup file, CardCap creates a file with your data and lets you choose where to save or share it. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you choose to send it.

Information I collect

None. CardCap does not collect, sell, or share personal information, does not use advertising or analytics services, and does not track you across other apps or websites. If you email me for support, I'll use your email only to reply to you.

Children

CardCap doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

In CardCap's Settings, tap Delete all CardCap data to remove everything from your iPhone and, if sync is on, from your iCloud. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone. You can also manage iCloud data in your iPhone's Settings under your name › iCloud.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
